Shiny development: best practices and pitfalls to avoid

Details
Dear R Users, we are happy to announce our next Meetup to start the new year. This time it's about R's popular framework for creating almost arbitrarily complex web applications in a simple and scalable manner, called R-Shiny.
Besides that, as always, there will be the opportunity for a pleasant chat over a cold drink and a slice of pizza.

Shiny in production, best practices, and pitfalls to avoid - Ihaddaden Mohamed El Fodil
If your code base is R-oriented, then Shiny is automatically one of the best tools when it comes to developing web applications. On the one hand, the ease and speed at which one can create a fully functional web app with a few lines of code are surprising. On the other hand, many claim that Shiny is too slow or not adapted for production and that it should only be used for prototyping purposes.
Shiny can be used in production and not only as a Dashboard but as a web application that can smoothly interact with processes. Throughout the talk, I'll aim to enumerate what I think are the best practices that will allow one to build a robust, fast, and maintainable Shiny app.
