Hi everyone,

This is our regular Thursday event. We meet at Bürgerhaus Allermöhe e.V., near the S-Bahn station Nettelnburg. Room E.

I’d love to practice German as much as possible, but don’t worry if you're just starting out—we can also use English if needed.

This event is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded individuals and motivate yourself to draw. All levels are welcome. Even if you only want to start sketching, don't hesitate to come. We're always happy to help each other and answer questions. Typically, one of us proposes a topic to draw, but everyone is free to choose whatever they want to draw.

Important! You need to take materials with you:

Any kind of paper sheet

Something to draw lines (pen, liner)

Something to draw colors (pencil, markers, paints)

Or watercolour

This event is completely free of charge. However, I'm happy to accept small donations, which help cover the Meetup organizer subscription cost.

Bringing some drinks or food is always a great idea.

Every Friday, we gather together in our warm and comfortable "nest" at Kulturladen St. Georg. It's a great opportunity to meet other like-minded individuals and motivate yourself to draw. All levels are welcome. Even if you only want to start sketching, don't hesitate to come. We're always happy to help each other and answer questions. Typically, one of us proposes a topic to draw, but everyone is free to choose whatever they want to draw.

Important! You need to take materials with you:

Any kind of paper sheet

Something to draw lines (pen, liner)

Something to draw colors (pencil, markers, paints)

Or watercolour

Important! Meetup takes place in "Kulturladen St. Georg e.V" which takes a 3 euro fee per person. Please bring money with you.

You can bring your own drinks or food, but Kulturladen has a nice bar with tea, coffee, wine, and homemade cakes, all available for very affordable prices.

Anders Zorn @ Hamburger Kunsthalle

Hi friends! Join me in exploring the works of Swedish painter Anders Zorn. The Kunsthalle currently has an exhibit of his works running until January 25, 2026.

This event is free but you have to buy your own ticket.

I have set the event time at 3PM because I will be at Kunsthalle at around that time but you are free to be there earlier or a bit later; we might just find it hard to meet-up. The event is also open-ended though the Kunsthalle closes at 6PM.

Who is Anders Zorn?

From the Kunsthalle website: "Anders Zorn (1860–1920), a world-famous artist circa 1900 who experienced a meteoric rise in Europe and the United States with portrait paintings of two US Presidents and various members of high society. On view will be more than 150 exhibits, including major works as well as rarely shown paintings and watercolours, along with Zorn’s impressive etchings and small sculptures. Zorn visited Hamburg in the winter of 1891/92 at the invitation of Kunsthalle director Alfred Lichtwark and created several atmospheric views of the harbour, which are included in the exhibition."

Anders Zorn is also known for popularizing the Zorn Palette.
