Summer Solstice Sketching

June 21 will be the longest day of the year (i.e., the summer solstice). Around this time, Hamburg (and places in similar latitudes) only experiences astronomical twilight and it's never technically nighttime!

Don't stay indoors wasting the sun! Let's spend this long day sketching en plein air at Planten un Blomen. The colors of the sunset will be glorious!

This is a chill and open-ended event. Expect a lot of people at the park this day. I would usually stay until the Wasserlichtkonzert at 22:30-23:00.

Where do we meet at Planten un Blomen? I will be somewhere by the fountain at around the specified time. I might be in other parts of the park earlier.

What should we bring? Other than your usual sketching stuff: shades, sunblock, sitting spread, snacks. There are also a lot of food stands around, of course.

What if it rains? It rains.
