Houston Theater District is thrilled to bring back Theater District Open House for the first time since 2019! Generously sponsored by ExxonMobil, this event truly captures the heart and soul of the performing arts in Houston and celebrates our community’s rich cultural diversity. Join us for an afternoon of performances, activities, and experiences – all free and open to guests of all ages! Brought to you by the performing arts companies and venues of the district, we are excited to see this vibrant tradition return.
HOW TO FIND THE HOST:
Let's gather in the Lynn Wyatt Square for the opening ceremony. Organizer will be wearing a white baseball cap, and she will be posting additional description of where she will sitting when she gets there. She will also post the what3words app address.
If you are planning to attend the open house, but do not intend to join the group, please do not rsvp yes to this event. It falsely enlarges the number of attendees and jeopardizes your membership with the group.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
We will be enjoying a free indoor/outside event with short performances at various venues.
WHAT TO BRING:
This is a partial outdoor event so please dress according to the weather. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
Food trucks and local restaurants are available.
Public restrooms are available.
WHAT IS ADMISSION:
Admission is free. No tickets are required.
WHERE IS PARKING:
Discounted garage self-parking is available from 11:30-5:30 at the following area garages:
- Hobby Center Garage – Free parking available.
- Theater District Garage – $5 discounted parking available.
