Road Trip Across America By Fort Bend Symphony
Details
Celebrate the beauty and majesty of our nation with Road Trip Across America! This orchestral concert features works that draw inspiration from the natural and man-made wonders of the United States.
Hear the open prairie with Aaron Copland’s Outdoor Overture. Relive the innocence of the turn of the century with Barber’s Knoxville Summer of 1915, sung by none other than Dominique McCormick. Bop your head to the iconic songs about our great American Cities with From Sea to Shining Sea by Robert Wendel. The concert is rounded out by the towering Grand Canyon Suite by Ferde Grofe – best known for its colorful depiction of donkeys in the movement “On the Trail.”
