About us
Hammer & Anvil Community Collective is for anyone curious about blacksmithing, whether you've never held a hammer before or you've been tinkering in a shop for years. We're a casual group that meets regularly to learn the fundamentals of working with metal, share techniques, and just enjoy the satisfaction of making something with your own hands. If you've ever wondered what it's like to heat steel and shape it into something useful, this is a great place to find out.
Our meetings are pretty low-key. We focus on the basics like fire management, hammer control, and understanding how different metals behave. Everyone works at their own pace, and we're all here to help each other out. You don't need any experience or fancy equipment to start, and we're happy to point you toward resources if you want to set up your own space at home or find a local forge to work at.
Really, we just want to build a community of people who appreciate the craft and enjoy getting together to learn and create. Whether you end up making blacksmithing your passion or just want to hang out with folks who think hot metal is cool, you're welcome here.
