eMTB Ride - Sly Park: Jenkinson Lake & Trail #8

Arrive 8:45. Roll out 9 AM sharp.

Park near the boat launch, which is down to the right after you pay the daily use fee at the booth at the park entrance.

This route will be about 20 miles and 2400 feet of climbing. It’s relatively beginner friendly, but there are a few rocky technical sections and some short steep climbs. A full power eMTB with 625+ WH battery capacity is recommended.

We’ll start with a clockwise loop around Jenkinson Lake, then head up into the hills just south of the lake to the Fleming Meadows Area, where we will follow Trail #8. Pace will be moderate.

We will regroup periodically at major trail intersections and for breaks, photos, etc.

It’s going to be a warm day, so be sure to carry sufficient water, electrolytes, snacks.

We will probably eat lunch at The Burger Barn in Pollock Pines following the ride.
