Intro to Blacksmithing: Forged Steel Rose

In this class we will introduce students to basic hammer skills and forge use to teach them how to create this beautiful hand forged steel rose.

Learn how to draw out steel bar and create shoulders, texture and pattern steel plate, Learn hot forming and hot riveting techniques. A little light welding is included. Come prepared to swing a hammer.

We will have an intermission if you wish to bring snacks and beverages.
The forge is hot, drink lots of water.
Closed toed shoes and non-flammable shirts required.
(Denim/cotton is good. Flannel is BAD.)
