Intro to Blacksmithing - XMAS edition - Mantle Hangars!

In this fun and foundational class we will be forging mantle hangars for dangling stocking in front of the fire. We will be practicing our drawing out technique, developing general hammer control and learning to use anvils in synergy with your hammer strikes.

We will also be learning make a simple scroll and a twist pattern.

Our goal is to create unique steel s hooks and spirals for your mantle.

You should wear closed toe shoes, and bring a refreshing beverage to combat the heat of the forge.

This blacksmithing class is suitable for ages 13 to adult.
