Blacksmith jewelry - Barrettes, Blanket Pins, and Belt-hooks

In this introductory class we will be learning to draw out, taper, twist, scroll and loop steel. We will be practicing with hammer, anvil, tongs, forge and various bending tools. Explore the basics of blacksmithing as you create a unique and functional accessory.

Students may choose to make a two piece Barrette or Cloak Pin that turns any blanket into an instant cloak or a belt buckle or belt hook for your costume!

Wear closed toed shoes and non-flammable clothes, and feel free to bring a cold beverage, because that forge is HOT.
