Hello,
Hampden has so many great places to eat so I'm starting a monthly dinner meetup so we can try a new place or rediscover an old favorite.
The Golden West Cafe is a local favorite offering New Mexican dishes & eclectic comfort grub in unpretentious digs. After dinner we may go to Hampden Yards for an after dinner drink.
I will be making reservations for the Meetup, so please make your best effort to attend if you RSVP here. Also if the RSVP is full please feel free to join the waitlist. People do cancel and I may update the RSVP with the restaurant. Thank you.
Parking: There is mainly street parking available near this restaurant. You may be lucky to get a free parking spot, but if not the meters run until 10:00 pm at $.50 an hour. There is also a parking lot in the alley behind Frazier's (enter through Roland Ave.).
Payment: For a large group, it may be easier pay with cash so try to bring enough to cover your meal. Also I would be willing to cover your meal, if you Venmo the amount before the bill is settled.

Finally, the restaurant is open to the public. If you did not make the RSVP list, you can still go. You may not be part of the Meetup or RSVP officially, so I can't guarantee that you can join the party. But if there is room you can still come and experience the restaurant.
