A mid-week Visit to Kew Gardens

Details
The picture above depicts the iconic and renown Palm House - built in 1847 and now awaiting a major refurbishment in 2027. Prior to this will mean the removal and rehoming of many ancient palms that adorn the interior of this amazing building. This is an opportunity to visit and photograph this stunning piece of Victorian architecture before it closes.
Not only the Palm House but also the recently refurbished Temperate House and many more features of these wonderful botanic gardens. Let's visit the new Carbon Garden which demonstrates the need for plants and fungi in our fight against the climate crisis. It's central feature being the brand new mushroom shaped pavilion. There are many other places to visit such as The Hive, Water Lily House, Tree Walk above the canopy, and marvel at nature and to enjoy the beautiful flowers.
Meetup time is 10.30-11 am - flexible as there are different ways to travel here. Just call me when you arrive and we can arrange where to meet. There is a car park in Ferry Lane, Kew Green but it is small and likely to fill up fast. There are trains from Clapham Junction direct to Kew Bridge station - a 15 minute walk away, or to Kew Gardens station via Richmond and then 1 station to Kew Gardens - then a 5 minute walk. I plan to drive and to arrive early to park.
Entrance fee £25 (22.00 if booked in advance online).
Meetup fee: £5 for each person.
There are all facilities available with many toilets and cafés.
So why not join us and visit this jewel of the botanical world.
