We visited this lovely stately home and gardens 10 years ago and so a return is well overdue.

Dating to the 14th century this magnificent property was once owned by King Henry VIII and has now been the home of the Sidney family for 470 years. The main house is surrounded by beautiful gardens with lots of viewpoints of the house. There is a cafe and also facilities. The stately home is open to the public but I think photography is not allowed inside (I may be wrong).

Admission Price : £17 or gardens only £15.
Meetup Fee £5 per person attending (please bring cash on day)

The entrance to Penshurst Place is in Penshurst village -

///prompting.mining.pasta .

So we'll meet up outside the entrance at 11.30 when the gardens open. If you arrive a little early there is the Porcupine Cafe next to the entrance serving drinks and pastries for early morning.

So please join us for a great day out - you can choose if you wish to visit the house or just the gardens. As always please upload your photos to the gallery after the event and make a comment on others' photos as we can all learn from each other this way.

See you there

Peter
