Hello, thanks for checking out my group!! This group is seasonal. Events will be scheduled starting in the spring once the weather warms up and we'll close out the season in early fall. This group doesn't have a lot of events but if you enjoy relaxing on the beach during the summer, you should join. During the warmer months when Mother Nature cooperates, I try and do at least 2 events per month either on a Saturday or Sunday.
I started the group in July 2021. I'm a Jersey girl who grew up going to the Jersey shore so the beach gene is in my blood. (No Jersey shore jokes, thanks in advance!!) My Jersey shore days are pretty much over but looking for people to hang out with on the beaches in the Hampton Roads area. The purpose of the meetup isn't much more than to make new friends and get to know people while sitting relaxing on a blanket or underneath an umbrella with your feet in the sand on a warm, sunny day. Even though I live in Williamsburg, I have a preference to hang out near the ocean, although, I stay closer to home when the ocean water is cold and the ocean breeze is strong.
You must provide a photo with a face shot (preferably of just you) to join. I don't charge dues but meetup organizer fees increased in 2024 so please consider an annual donation to keep the group alive. Also, make sure you visit this group every once in a while so I know you are still active on meetup and interested in my group activities. I remove members who haven't visited the site in more than a year.
