Mickey 17 (2025) directed by Bong Joon-Ho @ Regal Harbour View 16
Details
NOTE: This is the theater in the Western Branch/Suffolk area with the recliners.
The latest film from the Academy Award-winning director of Parasite. Brian and I are judging from the trailer that this will be Bong in more his Snowpiercer mode than in his drama mode, so we're expecting some sci-fi campiness.
RUNTIME: 137 minutes
SYNOPSIS: From the Academy Award-winning writer/director of “Parasite,” Bong Joon Ho, comes his next groundbreaking cinematic experience, “Mickey 17.” The unlikely hero, Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) has found himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job… to die, for a living.
BLURBS:
"Like Mickey himself, it’s goofy and a little inconsistent, but it’s also funny, thoughtful and more plausible than we might like. A charming space oddity for these unusual times." - Helen O'Hara, Empire Magazine
"This is Pattinson at his best, holding his movie star charisma hostage in order to pursue loveable weirdos in all kinds of shades." - Clarisse Loughrey, The Independent (UK)
