Details

I know a couple people requested this movie, and then I was like, "Nah, let's watch the Before trilogy first." Anyway, here it is.

RUNTIME: 165 minutes

SYNOPSIS: The joys and pitfalls of growing up are seen through the eyes of a child named Mason (Ellar Coltrane), his parents (Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke) and his sister (Lorelei Linklater). Vignettes, filmed with the same cast over the course of 12 years, capture family meals, road trips, birthday parties, graduations and other important milestones. Songs from Coldplay, Arcade Fire and other artists capture the time period.

BLURBS:
"There isn't anything else quite like 'Boyhood' in the history of cinema, although that wouldn't matter one-fifth as much if it weren't a moving and memorable viewing experience in the end." - Andrew O'Hehir, *Salon.com*

"A film that I love more than I can say. And there is hardly a better, or nobler thing a film can do than inspire love." - Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian

"This is a film that's as epic as it is minutely domestic, and reminds us that the banality of the everyday is what makes a life. How it can remind us of this, without being banal itself? Exactly. That is its phenomenal achievement." - Deborah Ross, The Spectator
