Drew will give an overview and tips for LinqPad, the .Net scratchpad and prototyping tool.

SQL Server 2016 Features For Developers

Chuck will discuss new the new features of SQL Server 2016 that impact developers including encryption and auditing.

Serverless Bots

Linda will be using AWS Lambda and Serverless Framework to demonstrate how to create a fun Valentine's Day Twitter Bot that requires no server configuration.

Entity Framework 6 Code First For Beginers

John will discuss EF 6 workflow options then dive right into creating an application using EF 6 Code First.

Drew Carpenter

Drew is a C# .Net application developer working at Issuetrak.

Chuck Bryan

Chuck started writing code using Amiga Basic and his Amiga 1000. After finishing his tour in the Air Force, Chuck settled down in the Hampton Roads area where he has been writing Line of Business Applications using the full stack of Microsoft Products and dabbling with various client side frameworks, including Angular.

Linda Nichols

Linda is a software developer at Emerging Technology Advisors. In addition to creating software, she has a passion for community involvement and education. She is a co-founder of Norfolk.js, NodeBots Norfolk, RevolutionConf and several other local classes and workshops. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Old Dominion University and a Masters in Information Technology from Virginia Tech. She enjoys bad karaoke, good sushi, and all varieties of cats.

John Hadzima

John is a senior IT consultant at Marathon Consulting and the organizer of the Hampton Roads .NET Users Group. He has been working as a software developer in Hampton Roads for over 20 years and is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a BS in Information Systems. In his free time enjoys surfing, biking, ODU sports, and coaching his son's teams.
