About us

The Bellingham Linux Users Group meets on the third Wednesday of every month at the Bellingham Makerspace to explore topics in Linux, GNU, and free and open source software, often in collaboration with Bellingham Codes, the BTC Raspberry Pi Club, Linux Fest NorthWest and Cascade STEAM.

Each BLUG meetup will be in three parts:

  • the first half hour will be arrival and community support. Need help installing some app or flavor of Linux? Make sure to show up early and partake in the wisdom from some of our more experienced members.
  • After that, we will have guest sessions. Do you have ideas on what you would like to present or want to present yourself? Let us know!
  • After the presentations are done, we will have a general social time to get to know each other and to collaborate on new things.

BLUG Meetup - What can you do with a homelab?

Bellingham Makerspace, 1 Bellis Fair Parkway #618, Bellingham, WA, US

Join us this month on the third Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at Bellingham Makerspace as we talk about our Homelabs and discuss what sorts of things you can do with one.

What linux user doesn't enjoy talking about what we use Linux for and what other things we can do on our Linux machines? If you have a homelab, come and share what it is you do with it! If you're just starting a homelab, come share what things you're looking to do with it! If you don't have a homelab, come find out why you might want to start one!

And if you don't know what a homelab is? We'll, that's OK too; by the end of the night you'll not only know what it is — you'll have several ideas of how to start your own!
