1. HANA Tech Night Mannheim (2019 Q1)

We start with the first HANA Tech Night with focus on SAP HANA/SAP HANA Express edition here in Mannheim.

Two talks are planed: the first one is especially interesting for newbies, who want to start in the HANA area. The second talk is suited for every level of experience.

We have room for max. 30 participants.

Talk 1: "SAP HANA Express Edition (HXE) - Tricks and hints from two years experience" by HP Seitz

It was a surprise when SAP announced the SAP HANA Express Edition (HXE) at end of 2016. The Express Edition is a freely available version of the SAP HANA Platform with almost all the features of the commercial SAP HANA version. There are multiple options to run HXE: local or in the cloud. HP shares his developer experience with the HANA Express Edition over the past two years.

#Bio - HP Seitz
HP works as independent consultant and software architect with focus on professional JavaScript development. He is doing SAPUI5 frontend development for customers since 2012 and full stack JavaScript development together with Node.js and SAP HANA XSA. HP has over 15 years experience in the SAP eco system.

Talk 2: "SQL-Entwickler denken anders" by Jörg Brandeis

A query language like SQLScript differs considerably from a "normal" programming language. I will show you some examples of how problems can be solved in the two different worlds and what the mindsets behind them

#Bio - Jörg Brandeis
Jörg is an independent consultant and developer with a focus on SAP BW for HANA and SAP BW/4HANA. Until mid-2015 he was a development manager for ABAP at zetVisions AG in Heidelberg. He developed and conducted a workshop on SAP HANA development and SQLScript and is experienced in training ABAP developers to use SQLScript. Jörg is the author of the SAP Press Book "SQLScript für SAP HANA".
