Outrigger Canoe Paddling, Ukulele Strumming! FREE LEARN TO PADDLE TODAY

Today is one of our "FREE LEARN TO PADDLE DAYS". If you are curious about what it's like be paddle in a 6-person outrigger canoe, today is your day! We are waiving the usual $10 fee for all people who have not paddled with us before.

New members :

We hope you’ll join us for a day of outrigger canoe paddling, music and fun at Hana Hou beach in Newport Harbor. Come for an outrigger paddle, picnic, sing, strum or just sit back and listen to music.

If you wish to paddle, you must be able to swim. The fee is $10 per session or $20 per calendar month. We provide paddles, lifejackets, six person Outrigger Canoes and basic instructions. Beginners and experience paddlers are welcome.

All musicians and skill levels welcome. Ukuleles, guitars, cajons, and other instruments have all shown up 😊. Sometimes there are FREE ukulele lessons offered by Chris Wright from 11am- noon

Donations welcome (to help pay for County lease fee and insurance)
Hana Hou is public charity non-profit. Donations can be tax deductible ,

House Rules:
Paddlers must be able to swim
Paddlers must sign a consent form each year
Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who can sign the release form
Must be 9 years or older to paddle unless cleared by steersman
Under 13 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the canoe and wear a life jacket
Be respectful of all the members
Please avoid discussing politics or religion
