"Set in the aftermath of World War I, the film follows two young men—Lionel (Paul Mescal) and David (Josh O'Connor) - who devote themselves to capturing the lives, voices and music of their fellow countrymen. While documenting these stories, their partnership deepens into a tender romance."

"In 1917, two young music students attending the Boston Conservatory bond over their mutual love of folk music. They reconnect a few years later, embarking on a song collecting trip in the backwaters of Maine."

The Arzner Cinema is ten minutes walk from London Bridge down Bermonsey street. The entrance is at the back of the building, from Bermondsey Square - this is the small open air space just off Abbey Street south of the green called St Mary Magdalen Churchyard (it looks like just a park).

I am very excited to see this film. Paul Mescal is said to be tremendous and I really liked Josh O'Connor of Father Jud Duplenticy fame, in Wake Up Dead Man (Knives Out). Loved him in that. I can't wait to see both of them in this film.

The attendance fee is £2.50 - meet me in the bar before the film starts at 18:00. I'm pretty sure that you can only get to the screens from the bar. Off Abbey Street, into Bermondsey Square and around the corner to your left. You'll see the entrance from there.
