Monthly Meetup #10: Software and Data Complexity

Details

The special discussion topic for this meetup is Software Complexity: What makes software complex? How can we create simple software that can do more complex work? We will dedicate about 1 hr for this discussion. The other hour we can spend on any other topics, presentations, or demos any members want to present.

Write in the comments or message a host if you want to have your topic listed in the meetup event page!

After the meetup, some of us will grab food after - all attendees are welcome to join!

Topics at this meetup

  • Discussion: Software Complexity

What we do
Presentations on lower-level, foundational programming topics, ethical software, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and discussion.

Who we are:
We are all about handmade software. Rather than having the main focus center around frameworks, heavy abstractions, and buzzwords - we typically create projects or research topics that demonstrate an understanding of foundational computing concepts, essential data structures, and hardware/software interaction. We believe this is where untapped innovation lies.

What to bring?
Bring a laptop, project, or just a curious mind. If you're not sure you're ready to contribute, don't worry: we're all here to share our passions and hone our craft.

Finding Us:
We will be in Room 2 at West End Library. That is the smaller of the two meeting rooms.
