About us
Handmade Hangouts is a relaxed, creative art group where people come together to make fun handmade crafts, meet new friends, and explore different local spots around the Triangle. Each meetup features a simple, beginner‑friendly project.
No experience is needed and all supplies are provided. Just show up, hang out, and enjoy a low‑pressure space to be creative, socialize, and try something new.
To keep the group running and cover materials (plus the cost of maintaining this Meetup group), each event has a small participation fee payable via cash or Venmo. We keep prices as low as possible so everyone can join in.
Whether you’re new to the area, looking to unwind after work, or simply want to connect with other creative people, Handmade Hangouts offers a warm, welcoming community and a rotating lineup of artsy adventures across Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
