HoA #56: The Big Product Picture — Creating Value through Alignment
Details
Abstract: Welcome to the Big (Product) Picture!
In this session, we will address the importance of aligning stakeholders and team members on our journey’s WHY and WHAT. We will study concepts and tools to include everyone in product discovery and delivery while still practicing Scrum.
We will learn how to build rapport with stakeholders and avoid becoming a black box in their eyes. We will also understand how to focus on creating value for customers while contributing to our organization’s bottom line.
Scrum is a tactical framework well-suited to effectively build and release new product Increments.
Scrum is equally well-suited to build something no one wants — if you ignore your stakeholders, customers, and the market in general. For example, according to the Scrum Guide, the Product Owner somehow knows what is worth building.
How come?
That noticeable gap is one of the problems that we can address by augmenting Scrum with suitable external practices and tools.
And I will show you exactly how to do this without spending big — all our tools and practices are free.
