What makes Snowflake special?

Details
How does cloud data warehousing work? What should an organisation take into account when adopting it? What makes Snowflake such an interesting platform, and how does it work under the hood?
In our next meetup, we will dive into these questions from an organisational as well as a technical perspective.
Michiel Thomassen (Eneco) will enlighten us about the challenges of adopting Snowflake at Eneco, one of the largest Dutch energy companies. How does this organisation deal with data warehousing, integration and data intensive applications? How can a data-driven approach accelerate the energy transition?
Arjan Hijstek (Snowflake) will show us what makes Snowflake unique, and how it differs from Synapse, Redshift and Databricks. He will explain how Snowflake works "under the hood". What makes it cloud agnostic and massively scalable? How do micro partitions work? How and why are computation and storage separated?
Do you want to learn more about these topics? And do you like good food? Then this meetup is for you!
