*Hike starts: 2:00 pm

Castle Rock State Park
Main entrance parking lot, to Castle Rock falls overlook, then onward until you get to the first loop turn around to go back past goat rock.

Please drive to the main entrance which is actually called the Robert C Kirkwood entrance. Google maps has Castle Rock entrance wrong, but If you see the Robert c Kirkwood entrance sign you're at the right place. Please meet at the restrooms. Parking paid to Castle Rock: $10. Cash only, no internet there.

*Please note there is no visitor center or store facilities at Castle Rock.

If wind gusts are greater than 25 mph, or chance of rain is greater than 40 percent, we will cancel due to the fact that trees are more likely to fall on the roads.

NO CELL RECEPTION within the park and the surrounding area. Due to this, ridesharing services are not recommended.

DOGS are prohibited throughout the park (except for service animals).

The trail surface is a natural surface (dirt, sand, rocks). It can be very narrow with steep areas.
