Hangzhou Music Lovers Jazz Jam Hangout

Every other week, I lead a group of Hangzhou music lovers and jazz enthusiasts to jazz club Good Cha for their Monday night jam nights.

We meet at 9pm at Good Cha jazz club (6 Hefang St, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, 310002) for their Monday night jam session at 9pm.

Musicians, please bring your own lead sheet (*4 copies) or iReal Pro and let me know ahead of time what song you will be performing that night. They always have a jazz trio with guitar there every night, but pianists are only there occasionally. If you do join, let me know. I am a vocalist there.

This event welcomes all music lovers of all skill levels and nationalities. You only need to like music and enjoy meeting other music-loving people. Both listeners and performers are welcome.

The jazz club has no entrance fee on jam night, but they do have a one-beverage minimum order requirement. Everybody pays for themselves. They accept CNY cash, Alipay, and WeChat Pay. No foreign credit cards are accepted.

This event is hosted in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Feel free to show up if you speak other languages—we can use Google Translate or use music as our universal language ;)

I have been hosting this event for the last three years, ever since COVID happened. This event helps support local artists and the music community, and it helps small music venues stay in business.
