ATK SPECIAL USE FOREST – TREKKING & CAMPING TRIP

❶ INTRODUCTION & GENERAL INFORMATION
This is one of the most beautiful trekking routes near Hanoi, featuring diverse and impressive forest landscapes, including bamboo forests that resemble scenes from a movie, mushroom forests, and “ghost forests,” among others.
In terms of forest scenery alone, ATK is even more emotional and pristine than Ba Vi National Park, as it has been protected from an early stage.
Beyond its natural beauty, ATK is also a historically significant site. From May 20, 1947 to 1954, it was where President Ho Chi Minh and the leaders of the Party and the State lived and worked, directing the nine-year resistance war against French colonialism.

❷ TRIP INFORMATION
a) Transportation: Motorbikes.
b) Itinerary:
04:30 AM, Saturday (24/01): Gather at Hanoi Exploring Coffee
Address: 33 Alley 234 Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.
05:00 AM: Move to the gathering point on Lang Street to join the Yêu Việt Nam group.
05:30 AM: Depart for Minh Tien, Thai Nguyen Province.

Estimated return: 6:00–7:00 PM on Sunday (25/01), back to central Hanoi.
c) Cost: 800,000 VND per person, covering approximately 300 km of travel, parking fees, drinking water, tents, and three shared meals.
d) Registration deadline: Before 12:00 PM (noon), Monday, 19/01.
e) Final participant list & rider–passenger arrangement: After 12:00 PM on 19/01.

❸ PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
You are eligible to join only if you meet all the following conditions:
a) You must be an official member of Hanoi Exploring Group.

c)Male participants must own a motorbike in good condition, be experienced in long-distance riding, and must act as a rider if legally eligible.
Female participants who wish to be riders must contact the Hanoi Exploring fanpage for consultation and may be asked to attend a riding skill assessment.
d) Gear & equipment regulations:

1.5 liters of water
Personal identification documents
Gloves
A sturdy backpack worn on the back
❖ Required for motorbike participants:
Medium-to-thick rain suit
Long-sleeved clothing
Helmet with a clear visor
Sturdy shoes
❖ Required for riders (drivers):
Valid driving license and motorbike documents
Straps or ropes for securing luggage if needed
❖ Optional but recommended:
Sun hat
Face mask
❖ Strictly prohibited during trekking and riding:
Wearing shorts or clothing that does not fully cover the chest, abdomen, arms, and legs
Carrying handheld bags
Wearing sandals or slippers

❺ IMPORTANT NOTES
a) When participants register to share a motorbike, the organizing team may approve or adjust the pairing based on participants’ locations and overall group balance.
The group does not support requests where existing members only want to ride together and do not create opportunities for new members.
Only couples in official, public relationships, family members, relatives, or acquaintances prior to joining Hanoi Exploring will be assigned to the same motorbike.
b) If you prefer not to ride with certain individuals, please message Hanoi Exploring and clearly explain your reasons. The organizing team will consider your information and arrange suitable pairings.
c) If you have registered but cannot be selected for this trip, we sincerely appreciate your understanding and hope to have you with us on future journeys.
