Let's gather up around a big table in Turtle lake brewing company to drink, chat, make some little DIY Xmas decorations and play the White Elephant game together. This time of the year, we show our gratitude for having a safe, healthy, and joyful year <3

WHEN: 5 p.m, Dec 19th, 2021 (Sunday afternoon)
WHERE: Turtle Lake Brewing Company (105 Quang Khanh, Tay Ho)

TIMELINE:
The event starts at 5 p.m, some paper, glue, scissors and instructions will be provided if you wanna make some DIY decor. Feel free to bring your own things to play with.
Gifts you bring to the event will be left in the middle of the table. The white elephant gift exchange will take place around 6 p.m
So if you can't make it at 5 p.m, please at least come before 6 so we can start the game.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Bring a gift which is WRAPPED and NO MORE THAN VND 150,000
• Optional: stuff to make DIY
• Bring your festive mood :D & your female friends if you want

HOW TO RSVP:
Don't forget to RSVP the event on Meetup and feel free to cancel at any time before Sunday, Dec 19. This helps me a lot in the reservation.

How to play: (https://www.whiteelephantrules.com/)

1. Each player brings one wrapped gift to contribute to a common pool
2. Players draw numbers to determine what order they will go in
3. The first player selects a gift from the pool and opens it
4. The following players can choose to either pick an unwrapped gift from the pool or steal a previous player’s gift. Anyone who gets their gift stolen in this way can do the same – choose a new gift or steal from someone else.
5. After all players have had a turn, the first player gets a chance to swap the gift she is holding for any other opened gift. Anyone whose gift is stolen may steal from someone else (as long as that person hasn’t been stolen from yet). When someone declines to steal a gift, the game comes to an end.

Personal rules I like but can be changed around:
The person who picks the gift first gets to trade out their gift at the end if they would like. But they only get to do this once.

I also think the 2 following rules would be good to follow. We would just need to decide which to follow:
Three Swaps and You’re Out. If you get stolen from three times during the game, you are out of the game and can no longer be stolen from.

Three Swaps and the Gift is Out. If a present gets stolen three times, it’s out of the game and the person who holds it gets to walk away with it.
