RE:Sounding Joy ~ A Liberating Celebration of Spirit

6:00pm until 7:15pm Friday, April 22nd at St Paul’s UCC Church in Rio Rancho.

OUR GUIDING MISSION is to increase love by promoting an embrace of the world’s diversity so all beings can thrive.
RE:Sounding Joy utilizes traditional and contemporary sacred and inspirational music from religious, secular and wisdom traditions from all over the world, to promote collective joy, unity and global healing. This practice draws from all recorded traditions and is not linked to any one teaching or ideology. The sacred music offerings include songs from Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu/Indian, Native American, Sikh, Islamic/Sufi, Hawaiian, African diaspora, Neoteric and other global and folk music traditions. Praise singing, devotional singing, congregational singing, chanting and folk song traditions in various languages are learned and explored.

RE:Sounding Joy is based on the observation that when we open to and participate in joyful music compositions, we can contribute to to bridging the divides that separates us, as we participate and share in the essence of another person or cultures sacred musical traditions.

RE:Sounding Joy uses pre-recorded music to interact with, and learn from, as in a contemporary aural tradition. The lyrics to each song offered will be provided, along with a brief explanation of its meaning, origin and cultural context. It is immensely joyful to share this experience with others. We invite you to participate with us on as we sing together in honor of the Divine Spirit in all beings.
