Happier Hour : VIRTUAL

Journey Out Of The Bottle presents Happier Hours
ONLINE · LIVE ON YOUTUBE

These are NOT Your Mom’s AA Meetings!
A flipped narrative and an alternative to the 12 Steps.

I’m Melissa, founder of Journey Out Of The Bottle. In these LIVE yet VIRTUAL transmissions, I get into the fuckery of alcohol culture, the neuroscience of why we drink, and the role spirituality can play in reclaiming our lives. Each broadcast has a featured topic, with room for humor, lived experience, and the questions we rarely hear asked out loud.

I created the 11 Empowering Pillars and Mantras as my own alternative to the 12 Steps of AA. And now I'm sharing them with you!
They’re grounded in empowerment, sovereignty, personal agency, and the daily practice of coming back to yourself.

Throughout the series, I’ll share the Pillars alongside reflections, affirmations, and prompts you can infuse into your own life.

Depending on the topic, I’ll pull from my Reservoir of Resources and demonstrate practices you can try for yourself. We might explore how to make room for grief, give a feeling somewhere to go, or use an Adult Tantrum to express some of what we’ve learned to swallow.

How did it get so normal to drink, so easy to shame someone who develops a dependence, and so awkward to be the person who says, I’m good with a mocktail !?!

The absurdities run deep, and we’re going to talk about them.

Pour yourself something delicious and tune in ~wherever you are in your relationship with alcohol~ you are invited to bring your curiosity and willingness to wake up!

The ultimate goal I have is to help raise the consciousness of this planet, and I believe that when each of us Wakes Up, Wises Up and RISES UP... this planet will be a much grander place to live!

Listen in, Chat if you feel resonant or Share with another who might enjoy the wake-up call!
