A Ritual of Sound for Balance, Healing & Collective Peace

The Fall Equinox is a time of sacred balance—between light and dark, inner and outer, release and renewal. To honor this turning point, we’ll gather in resonance with thousands of others around the globe in a collective Gong Puja—a planetary wave of sound and intention.

Guided by the deep, ancient tones of the gong, we’ll create a ceremonial space for healing, inner peace, and planetary harmony. Through guided meditation and a long-form sound immersion, you’ll be invited to:
\- Sink into deep rest and recalibration
\- Align with the rhythm of the Earth
\- Send ripples of healing through your own life and into the collective field

Last year’s Global Gong Puja united over 1,000 gong players across 83+ countries, and this year’s wave will be even more powerful. Together, we co-create a field of global coherence and compassion.

What to Expect:
A brief opening circle for grounding and intention-setting, a deeply immersive gong sound bath to support release, recalibration, and emergence, followed by gentle chimes for integration at the end.

Unlike other sound healing events, this immersion may involve loud, intense, and powerful gong-playing, at times, to clear stuck energy and allow for emotional release. Gongs create a unique, deeply-moving experience that can drop listeners into spontaneous meditative states (theta) where we have access to creative thinking and deep relaxation and tension release. They also help to clear energetic blocks and re-attune to higher vibrations. Gongs can also bring up big emotions, which can sometimes feel activating and create feelings of anxiety and overwhelm. Participants are encouraged to come prepared to allow for these feelings to come up and to release. Earplugs will be provided for anyone who might be sensitive to the sound.

No experience with sound healing necessary—all are welcome.

This is a non-dogmatic, heart-centered space where you are free to show up just as you are. Let your body rest. Let your heart open. Let the sound carry your prayer.

You may wish to bring:
\- A yoga mat\, extra padding\, a pillow\, a blanket $some are provided$
\- Anything else that will help you be comfortable sitting and lying down on wood floors
\- An eye mask
\- A face mask $not mandated$
\- A water bottle
\- Grounding tools
\- A journal to note down your reflections
\- There will also be an altar if you wish to bring a photo or an item that symbolizes the intentions you'd like to focus on\.
(Some yoga mats, pillows, cushions, and blankets will be available to borrow, but there may not be enough for everyone).

Founder and Soundscape Navigator at "For the Love of Gong," Phoenyx is a free-spirited creator, event-organizer, coach, psychonaut, philosopher, writer, speaker, consultant, and gong-lover — passionately inspired by expanded states of consciousness, alchemy, healthy empowerment, mind-hacking, trauma-healing, entheogenic exploration and harm-reduction, natural wellness, and community-building. She completed the Advanced Gong Sound Healing Certification Training through the International Gong Yoga Association in July 2022, under Gong Master Yogi Mehtab Benton, and has two magnificent gongs: a 32" traditional bronze Chinese Chau gong; and a 24" Paiste Brilliant Symphonic gong, made of silver, nickel, and bronze.
