The Nourished Mama - A Motherhood Circle

The Nourished Mama seeks to offer mamas a kind of haven; a space where they can come as they are, and be in circle with other mamas, to share with, to listen to, and support each other. Our gatherings will consist of varying practices that will encourage participants to slow down, tune in, increase self-awareness, practice self-compassion, soften tension, move with and through different emotions and feelings, connect to other women, practice deep listening, and sharing from the heart.
Each gathering will focus on a particular theme. For example, one week may be “Being Gentle with Self”, another “Setting Boundaries”, or “Cultivating Joy”. The theme will inform the practices we share together. There will always be the option to sit out of a particular practice, and each person is encouraged to listen to their body and heart. Some example practices:
● breathing with the present moment and other mindfulness practices ● free form movement to music
● gentle yoga
● shaking/releasing
● sighing/vocalizing
● sacred inquiry- pairs or small groups are offered questions to ask each other, they practice listening and speaking from the heart
● journaling
● coloring
● visual art expression (paints, pens, crayons)
● vision boarding
● non-sexual gentle self-touch
● meditation
● singing
● group sharing
*The Motherhood Circle is open to anyone who self identifies as a Mother. We welcome ALL Moms and embrace diversity in background, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, race, religion, etc.
