Day 1 7.30 am – Departure from KL Sentral via PLUS highway north (optional toilet, refuelling and refreshment stops at RR Tapah and RR Sg Perak Approx. 11 am Arrive at Kuala Kangsar interaction turnoff for East-West Highway 12.00 am Approx Arrival at Tasek Raban Ikan Bakar for lunch along the East West Highway (own expenses) 12.45 pm Departure for Grik and Onwards to Pulau Banding Public Jetty 2.45 pm – Arrival at Royal Belum Jetty, Briefing and Tea Break 3.00 pm
Houseboat begins Cruise to Royal Belum 3.30 pm Houseboat cruise to Sungai Kooi 4.00 pm Boarding of boats to Sungai Kooi Waterfall 5.30 pm Return to Houseboat from Sg Kooi Watefall 5.45 pm Houseboat cruise to third destination for night docking Free and Easy until dinner or barbecue 20.00 Dinner or barbecue 21.00 Nature Appreciation and Royal Belum Presentation 22.00 Karaoke/Old Songs/ “Water” session
Day 2 8.00 am Breakfast 9.30 am Journey and Trekking to Sungai Papan “ Animal Salt Lick” 11.00 am Tea Time 11.30 am Waerbased Actvity 13.00 pm Lunchtime 14.00 pm Houseboat cruising to Sg Ruok and docking for night 17.30 pm Water Activities – Lake swimming, Fishing, Water Confidence and Bamboo Rafting 20.00 pm Dinner 21.00 pm Free and Easy/Karaoke and Water Sessions
Day 3 8.00 am Breakfast 0900 am Speedboat and Trekking to Sungai Ruok Sanctuary, Trekking to Waterfall, Fish Feeding and Swimming 10.30 am Return to Houseboat and onwards journey to the Public Jetty at Pulau Banding On the way pitstop at Orang Asli kampung 12.30 – 13.00 Estimated arrival at Public Jetty and Departure 1.00 pm – Estimated arrival at Salim Curry House at Grik Intersection to Penang, Pengkalan Hulu/Betong etc. Lunch at Salims (own expenses)
End of Royal Belum Rainforest Houseboat Programme All outdoor tours are subject to change based on weather, local and safety related considerations. Compulsory to wear life jackets on all waterbased activities irrespective of competence of swimmers. All activities are strictly guided as you will be entering a habitat known for elephant and other rare and endangered mammals including tiger. Fish are fairly abundant so you may want to bring along your fishing gear to try your luck.
