About California Botanical Garden
The California Botanic Garden is the largest botanical garden dedicated exclusively to California native plants. It promotes botany, conservation, and horticulture to inspire, educate, and inform both the public and the scientific community about the rich diversity of California’s native flora.
As a living museum, the Garden features curated collections of more than 22,000 native plants—some of which are rare or endangered—spread across 86 scenic acres in Claremont, about 35 miles east of Los Angeles.
It showcases approximately 2,000 plant taxa, including many from the California Floristic Province, one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots.
