This is two nights of free, dispersed car camping at Trona Pinnacles.
The pinnacles are a highly unique geological feature in the California Desert Conservation Area. These tufa spires rise up to 140 feet from the dry lakebed. The landscape is so out of the world, the original Planet of the Apes was filmed here.
Dispersed camping is allowed anywhere in this area.
Hike and explore the pinnacles, or do some rock climbing, if you’re into that. Bring your mtn bike, or even your metal detector, if you like.
Or, do absolutely nothing and just chillax at camp and enjoy the lunar like landscape.

Trona Pinnacles is about a 3 hour drive north of LA.
We’ll meet at the dirt road entrance located at the intersection of Trona Rd (178) and Pinnacle Rd at 1200. See photos posted below for details.
