Painted Canyon Road, Car Camping & Ladder Canyon Hike

To participate in this event please join the waitlist.

We will meet at 1100 at the Ladder Canyon trailhead parking area which is located at the end of Painted Canyon Road.
We will then set up our base camp near the trailhead for the night.
Dispersed car camping is allowed practically anywhere there as we will be on BLM land.

From our base camp we’ll hike Ladder Canyon on Saturday afternoon and be back at camp for dinner and campfire.
The hike is optional, that’s if you’d rather prefer to just chillax at camp.

Since we’ll be under Daylight Savings we can enjoy the longer daylight hours into the evening.

From LA you’re looking at a roughly 3 hour drive to the trailhead.
Despite the big yellow road sign requiring a four wheel drive vehicle upon entering the dirt road it is doable with most regular 2 wheel drive vehicles for the 5 miles or so of the dirt road to reach the trailhead.
