Mt Pacifico Campground Free Overnight Camping

Mt Pacifico Campground just opened its vehicle access fire road, Pacifico Mountain Rd, for the season, for car camping.
You can, of course, still backpack to the campground via the PCT, from the Mill Creek trailhead, year round.

We’ve done this popular overnighter at this FREE campground several times before and we’re doing it again!

From the Mill Creek Picnic Area take Pacifico Mountain Road, which is an unpaved fire road, 6 miles up to the campground. The fire road entrance is accessible from the Mill Creek fire station, located at the picnic area.
High clearance vehicles are recommended, as the last mile to the campground requires some ground clearance.

Mt Pacifico Campground is situated just above 7,100’ in elevation, overlooking the entire Antelope Valley below.
Campsites are first come first serve, and there are picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets. There is no water!
