2 Nights Death Valley + hike Telescope Peak

In short, we will be spending 2 nights at Mahogany Flat campground, 8,100’ elevation, located in Death Valley NP.
High clearance vehicle is required the last couple of miles leading up to the campground.
On Saturday we will day hike to Telescope Peak, just over 11,000’ elevation, from the trailhead located at the campground.
Total distance is 13 miles out and back, 3,000’ gain. This is a very gradual climb over the course of 6.5 miles.
This is a FREE, primitive campground with picnic tables and fire rings. Wood fires will be allowed in October, unless there’s a fire ban.
