Our Last Overnighter at Mt Pacifico Campground for 2026. Hike or Drive.

HIGH CLEARANCE VEHICLE REQUIRED, THE LAST MILE BEFORE THE CAMPGROUND!
Subarus, RAV4’s, and other cross type vehicles should be able to make it, BUT, the fire road condition is unknown since we had the rain last weekend.

Backpacking option for those who wish to hike up to the campground via the PCT, trailhead is at the Mill Creek Summit Picnic Area. Car campers will have plenty of water for you at camp.

Camp overnight on a peaceful mountaintop, at 7,100’ elevation.
The campground is FREE, with picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets.
There is no water at the campground.
Wood campfires are allowed.

This will be our LAST trip up to Mt Pacifico for 2026 as the fire roads will be closed from November thru next April.

Drive up to Mill Creek Summit Picnic Area off Angeles Forest Hwy.

Once there, drive up past the fire station and enter the fire road.

Start anytime.
Enter the fire road just past the fire station.
It’s 6 miles uphill on a dirt fire road.
High clearance vehicle required during the last mile to the campground.
