About the speaker
I have enjoyed a successful 27-year career within the Long-Term Care Industry. At the age of 34, I became Vice President of Construction & Asset Management and after 10 years of heavy travel associated with managing 964 skilled nursing facilities throughout the US, Japan, and Chile, I resigned from my ultimate career achievement due to work-life imbalance.
I took a sabbatical to India for some quiet time to self-reflect. I returned to the United States after 3 months with a renewed passion to move beyond the simple metrics used to evaluate human behavior and performance.
I then founded Dharma Construction Services Inc. which had a prosperous 14-year run and was successful in honoring, cultivating, and allowing my associates to express themselves freely, thus benefiting the Company beyond the standard Return-on-Investment metrics. In 2012 I closed my company due to my failure to implement business principle 101: do not put all your eggs in one basket.
At the age of 53, I faced the most challenging, embarrassing, and pivotal moment of my life, allowing a new perspective to be born. Since that time I have spent countless hours self-reflecting, going beyond the effects of a literal loss and into the realm of the cause. Being forced to examine my participation in creating this reality has awakened me to the Laws that govern our Minds and our thinking.
Being a Speaker, Coach, and Spiritual Advisor has become my new calling as I lay the groundwork for organizational leadership to encourage, support, and provide guidance to their employees. Learning to embrace life’s challenges is foundational for a fulfilling life.
