Update Spring 2025: I will be stepping down from organizing this group, but I will continue to post rides in the Happy Valley with Farmington Bike Up! and will probably also participate in the Cyclonauts biking club http://www.cyclonauts.com/. I'm sorry to go, but Meetup doubled its rates to almost $400/yr I don't think it is worth it for the number of rides posted here. I also don't like the idea of collecting dues, considering we've never really posted more than one ride a week. Thanks to all who participated! Stay in touch. Happy biking! - Lori Goldner
Here's who we were:
We are friendly, happy, cyclists (and sometimes hikers) who wait for each other. We're in it for the company and the outdoors and the exercise, but we're not going for speed. We might go 10, 20, or 40 miles on a ride and 5 or 10 on a hike, but no one gets left behind! I started this group to meet other biking and touring enthusiasts who don't mind waiting at the top of the hill.
Because we care about each other, please be up-to-date on your vaccines and boosters to to participate. Bring a mask in case we need to be indoors. Give folks their 6'. Stay healthy!
