About us
The Happy Wanderers are based in Port Orange - near Daytona Beach, FL. We offer Fun, Fitness, & Friendship through planned non-competitive fitness activities including (primarily) walking, swimming, cycling and other social activities. We meet routinely on Wednesdays and Sundays for Group Walks on the Atlantic coast from St. Augustine to Cocoa Beach and west to DeLand, Sanford and Mt. Dora. We also hold special events in local Communities, Florida State Parks and along our beaches.
The Happy Wanderers are a registered 501c.(3) non-profit corporation and a member club of the America's Walking Club (AVA) - with about 160 clubs, 1,800+ trails and thousands of participants in all 50 states.

HW Fun Walk - Andy Romano Beach Park
Andy Romano Beachfront Park, 839 S Atlantic Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32176, USA, Ormond Beach, FL, USJoin the Happy Wanderers for a group walk of club members and Meet-Up participants. This is a non-competitive walk for fun and fitness!
The group will complete around 3 miles in roughly an hour. This walk includes long sections on the beach, please wear appropriate footwear & carrying water is recommended.
Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Tailgate registration, the Walgreens side of the parking lot, look for a group gathering and the large green club banner with Happy Wanderers logo
The walk is open to the public and newcomer's are Welcome!!

All permits and passes under Park Volusia will be virtual—no more windshield stickers. Instead, your vehicle’s license plate will serve as your permit or pass.

HW Ponce Inlet AVA Group Volksmarches, 6/8/11 Km
Winter Haven Park, 4589 South Atlantic Avenue, Ponce Inlet, FL, USJoin the Happy Wanderers for these AVA-sanctioned 6 km (3.7 miles) or 11 km (6.8 miles) group walks in beautiful Ponce Inlet, FL. Optional 8 km (5 miles) trail up the beach to the end of the jetty and then back. See the lighthouse, the jetty and the Marine Science Center as well as the neighborhood of Ponce Inlet.
You may walk with the group or at your own pace. Maps and Directions are provided for the trails. Registration starts 30 minutes prior and the cost is $4.00 for participants 12yrs old or older. Children to be accompanied by an adult. Volksmarchers will receive IVV/AVA credit for this event.
The walk is rated 1C (flat & moderate), as a significant portion of this walk is on the beach (hard-packed sand.) Or, you can walk along the sidewalks on A1A, parallel to the route. The alternate route is suitable for wheelchairs/strollers and leashed pets.
