National Bike Month - HW 26km Bike Ride

Join the Happy Wanderers for a 28km (17 miles) guided bike ride on the Seminole-Wekiva Trail (rail trail) following the path of the old Orange Belt Railway. Pass through quiet residential neighborhoods, suburban shopping areas and experience the hundreds of colorful paintings by artist Jeff Sonksen on the southern portion of the route - the "Paint the Trail" project!

Route is out and back, with a mid-point stop at the Seminole Softball Complex (bathrooms & water.) Cyclers are responsible for their own bikes and all riders are recommended to wear helmets and safety gear as appropriate. Bring water, sunscreen, etc.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. in the parking lot behind Duffy's Sports Grill in Colonial Town Park. Event cost is $4.00 for all participants. IVV/AVA credit (stamps) will be available for this event.

From Port Orange/Daytona get to I-4W. Use exit 101 B-A and then continue another mile on the side-ramp to 101A and stay left to Heathrow. Turn left on HE Thomas. Turn right on International Parkway (turn before the McDonalds.) Turn right on Market Promenade Ave. (look for sign) into the parking areas and immediately right into the parking lot.

From Orlando use exit 100 and go left on HE Thomas and cross I-4. Turn right on International Parkway. Turn right on Market Promenade Ave and immediately right into the parking lot.
