WAF34 - Celebration 5/10k Walks

Join us in the Orlando, FL area for the 34th edition of "Walk Around Florida" (WAF34) - a three-day weekend walking festival sponsored by the Happy Wanderers, Mid-Florida Milers (Orlando) and Suncoast Sandpipers (Tampa) of Central Florida, and AVA: America's Walking Club! We expect over 100 walkers for our events this weekend, participating individually, couples, or small groups.

SAT AFTERNOON walk in the Disney-planned community of Celebration, FL. Ask organizers about schedule for the "guided" walks, or - a map and written directions will be available upon registration and you may walk anytime Saturday afternoon, preferably between 1 pm and 5 pm.

The 1-hour or 2-hour routes are through shaded streets, walkways, serene boardwalks, and residential homes. Try the many restaurants in town - including the 110-year-old Columbia - and Kilwin's ice cream shop (restrooms; opens at 11am). Walk in the town developed and adapted by Disney by taking the best ideas and practices from yesterday's and today's towns. Restrooms at Start & the Golf Club (when open).

The walks are AVA-rated 1A and are suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Pets (leashed) are permitted.

The event is $4.00 for all participants 12 and older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. IVV credit will be available for all participants. AVA Special programs are listed in the registration brochure.
