Happy Wanderers Group Walks - 6/10 Km - Daytona Beach

Join the Happy Wanderers for these AVA-sanctioned 6 km (3.7 miles) or 10 km (6.2 miles) group walks in downtown Daytona Beach. We will of course be walking on the famous beach itself, over Memorial Bridge (10 km), seeing Beach St., Main Street and the iconic beachside amphitheater and boardwalk.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. in the parking lot. The cost is $4.00 for participants 12yrs old or older. Children to be accompanied by an adult. You may walk with the group or at your own pace. Maps and Directions are provided for the trails. Volksmarchers will receive IVV/AVA credit for this event.

NOTE: Parking in Volusia County Beach Parking requires you register your car with the County: Park Volusia - Beach Parking, Permits, and Citations in Volusia County, FL, or pay $20 per visit! There is NO COST for Volusia County residents if you register.

The walk is rated 1C (flat & moderate), as a significant portion of this walk is on the beach (hard-packed sand.) Or, you can walk along the sidewalks on A1A, parallel to the route. The alternate route is suitable for wheelchairs/strollers.

Join club members for a late breakfast after the walk at a local restaurant!
