HW Veteran's Day Tribute - Night Group Walk (5K only)

Join the Happy Wanderers in honoring our Veterans with a tribute walk on the evening of Veteran's Day. We'll start at the YMCA Parking lot (Port Orange YRE location) and circle around the City Center to the Veterans Memorial and circle around the lake until reaching the Veteran's Memorial Plaza for a brief ceremony, followed by the rest of the walk.
Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. and is free for America's Veterans and All Participants. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
You may walk with the group or at your own pace - the event is non-competitive. The group will walk a 5km route only. Maps and Directions will be available for those who strike out on their own.
The walk is on city sidewalks and paths in/around the Port Orange City Center and adjacent neighborhoods. Both trails are rated 1A (flat and easy) and are generally accessible for those in wheelchairs or with strollers.
These walks are sanctioned by the American Volkssporting Association (AVA) and qualify for IVV/AVA event & distance credit.
