HW AVA 5/11K Group Walks - New Smyrna Beach, FL

Join the Happy Wanderers for these AVA-sanctioned 5 km (3.1 miles) or 11 (6.8 miles) group walks in quaint New Smyrna Beach, FL. The 11 km walk includes the downtown shopping areas on both the mainland side and the peninsula, and you will walk across the high highway bridge as well as the lower causeway bridge. The 5km walk stays on the beach side throughout.

You may walk with the group (pace: 1 mile in 20 minutes) or at your own pace, be sure to pick up Map/Directions at registration. Registration starts 30 minutes prior and the cost is $4.00 for participants 12yrs old or older. Children to be accompanied by an adult. Volksmarchers will receive AVA credit for this event.

The walk is rated 1C and includes a section on the beach. The remainder of the walk is on sidewalks and is suitable for wheelchairs/strollers. Pets are allowed but must be leashed and picked up after, not allowed on beach.
