Join the Happy Wanderers for 5K or 10K guided walks on the walking paths and nature trails of DeLeon Springs State Park. This is our first visit to DeLeon Springs since 2019.

REGISTRATION: Beginning at 8:30 AM - meet in the parking lot – look for our green club banner and a raised tailgate. Event is $4.00 and there’s a separate $6.00/$4.00 (single) entry fee per car at the gate. Carpooling is recommended.

DeLeon Springs State Park features the famous Old Spanish Sugar Mill and renowned pancake breakfast. (Breakfast arrangements are on your own.) Relaxing, wooded trail loop of 4.5 miles plus in/around the grounds of the springs themselves. Both routes include Old Methuselah, a 500+ year-old Cypress Tree.
This will be a guided walk with one group going out together, and then a split into 5K/10K groups.

This walk is rated 1B and is a moderately easy walk on woodland roads/trails and some pavement. Wear shoes appropriate for wooded trails. Trail not suitable for wheelchairs. Rough terrain strollers may be suitable.

DIRECTIONS: From I-95 N/S exit 261 for US-92 west towards DeLand. Drive 16 miles to US-17 / N Woodland Ave. Turn right, then 5.8 miles north to the signs for the park entrance, and a left turn on Ponce Deleon Blvd. Go 0.8 miles to park entrance. From I-4, exit 114 Orange City to FL-472 for 3 miles then right to merge with US-17 north for 2 miles to FL-15 / E Taylor Rd. Turn left on E Taylor and continue for 7 miles then a left to re-join US-17 north side of DeLand. Follow 3 miles on US-17 to park signs and left onto Ponce Deleon Blvd, then 0.8 miles to park entrance.
