Hardware Happy Hour Portland

Details
Hardware Happy Hour is an informal way to socialize, show off your projects, and talk about the world of hardware.
We welcome anyone interested in any kind of hardware from beginner to expert: Arduino DIYers, engineers, hardware start up founders, e-textile experimenters, LED-curious folks, 3D printing enthusiasts or robotics geeks.
If you're working on something even vaguely related please do bring it along. No presentations, no pitch decks, just projects and conversation.
Join us and nerd out about electronics!
We are building out a nerdy sticker and swag swap box for members of this meetup so if you have any stickers or small items like pens or socks to donate to our little collection please bring it along!
This month's meet up will have free snacks courtesy of our sponsor Crowd Supply. Free snacks + open source hardware = love. Thanks Crowd Supply!
Venue is confirmed as Alleyway Cafe and Bar, 2415 NE Alberta Street. I've visited a bunch of places looking for the right location and these were my criteria:
1. bar requires vaccinations and actually checks your ID and vaccine card
2. covered outdoor seating with good air flow
3. reasonably priced drinks
4. snacks and food with veggie + vegan options
5. quiet enough for conversations
6. no minimum spend or limited time tables
7. staff are cool with us nerding out in a corner
8. accessible for those with wheelchairs or buggies
9. cool vibe
Alleyway Bar ticks all these boxes. Many places that ticked box one and two had a minimum spend, timed bookings for large groups, loud music or really expensive drinks. Let's try it out and see how we feel!
